In a statement, the Free Patriotic Movement welcomed “the announcement of the cessation of military actions between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.” He considered that "this step represents a real opportunity to move from the stage of open conflicts to the logic of dialogue and political solutions that the region and its people need." The Free Patriotic Council praised “the efforts of the mediating countries to provide channels for dialogue and remove obstacles to reaching this agreement. He stressed that “the importance of the agreement lies not only in reducing regional tension, but also in its potential repercussions on Lebanon, as it constitutes an opportunity to reach a permanent ceasefire, return to the truce, end the Israeli occupation of Lebanese lands, recover prisoners and return the displaced, launch the reconstruction workshop, and enable Lebanon to invest its national resources and wealth.” He pointed out that "the transformations in the region require the Lebanese state to deal with the highest levels of responsibility with the next stage, ensuring that clear national rights are extracted from any regional settlement, leading to strengthening the role of the Lebanese state and extending its authority over its entire territory, confining weapons to the Lebanese army and the legitimate forces alone, and for Lebanon to be the one that negotiates its national rights and interests through its constitutional institutions." He pointed out that "Lebanon is called upon to move away from the logic of alignments and axes, and move to the logic of a state that derives its strength from the unity of its people, its legitimate institutions, and its balanced relations with its Arab surroundings and the international community." He called on "all Lebanese political forces to read the ongoing transformations in national responsibility, away from betting or waiting for new regional balances of power." He appealed to the international community and sisterly Arab countries to "support Lebanon economically and financially, after carrying out reforms and contributing to the reconstruction of the affected areas and modernizing infrastructure and basic services." He stressed that "the current moment is not the moment of victory for one party over another, at home, but rather a historic opportunity to raise the logic of national partnership over the logic of divisions. Lebanon, which has paid heavy prices over decades, deserves to be a partner in creating peace and stability."
